But preparation is important too, and you can make it much easier to avoid temptation by making your home and working environment smoke-free:
- Throw out all your cigarettes, lighters and empty packs (check all your pockets and handbags too)
- Throw away your ashtrays – don’t forget the one in your car
- Wash all your clothes, towels and other items that smell of smoke
- Open all your windows to clear the air, and clean your home and car thoroughly
- Visit your dentist to clean nicotine stains off your teeth
